The fibrous casing with exterior barrier layer

Walsroder FVP is a fibrous casing with an exterior lacquer that serves as a barrier layer. Together with the natural surface, this contributes to the glossy appearance of the sausage. The barrier layer guarantees proper storage of the sausage. The exterior barrier layer ensures that the Walsroder FVP doesn’t shrink, in contrast to the Walsroder F plus. If the sausage is cut open at a later stage, a clean, attractive cut surface appears, with the sticking out of sausage meat avoided in the case of spreadable sausage.

Walsroder FVP is used for unsmoked cooked or scalded sausage types, cooked cured meat products and cooked, formed meat products (including poultry products).

Protection with a shine

The exterior barrier gives the pigmentation a brilliant finish, thus preserving the colour and quality of the sausage. The Walsroder FVP’s high level of moisture and oxygen barrier preserves the aroma of the sausage and prevents loss of weight during production and storage. Sausages in Walsroder FVP do not get smoked.

Seamless production

The high mechanical strength and suppleness of the Walsroder FVP guarantee problem-free processing. The casing can be processed without a hitch with all conventional stuffing and clipping machines and filled to the recommended diameter.

The base for Walsroder functional casings

The Walsroder FVP is the carrier for the new functional casings from Walsroder, with which smoke, colour and flavour can be transferred to the surface of the sausage. The FVP’s barrier layer effectively prevents the loss of weight.
